Design & Development
Our design process turns insights into interfaces that are intuitive and high-performing. Once approved, we build to those designs with clean, well-structured code.

Testing & Refinement
Every detail is reviewed, tested, and fine-tuned. We validate functionality, speed, and accessibility across devices to ensure your site performs as well as it looks.
4
Launch & Support
We manage deployment carefully and handle the go-live. After launch we monitor performance and provide hands-on support to keep things running properly.

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about how we approach design and development? Browse the FAQs below, or get in touch and we'll give you a straight answer.
Can you recommend which platform we should use?
Yes. Platform selection is part of our discovery process. We look at your content requirements, the integrations you need, how your team will manage the site day-to-day, and what the project needs to do technically. From there we'll give you a clear recommendation with the reasoning behind it. For most marketing sites and content-driven builds, WordPress is the right call. For projects requiring a custom front-end, specific hosting environments, or non-CMS architectures, we'll recommend accordingly.
Do you design the website first?
Yes. All design work happens in Figma before any development begins. We start with UX structure and page layouts, get those approved, then move into visual design. Development only begins once the design is signed off. This keeps the process clean and avoids costly changes mid-build.
Can you work with our internal designer or design team?
Yes, and we do this regularly. We can build from supplied Figma files, work alongside your designers during the design phase, or hand off our designs to your internal team for implementation. We've worked embedded within enterprise teams at Domain Group and are comfortable adapting to whatever collaboration model fits your organisation.
Do you work with Bricks, Elementor, Shopify, or custom stacks?
Yes. We're not tied to a single platform. Our primary WordPress build tool is Bricks Builder, which produces cleaner and more performant front-end code than Elementor. We also work with Elementor and the native WordPress block editor when projects require it. For non-WordPress projects, we work with React, custom PHP, and other frameworks depending on the brief. We'll always recommend what's right for your situation rather than defaulting to what's most familiar to us.
How long does a website project take?
Most builds take between 6 and 12 weeks from kickoff to launch. The timeline depends on the size of the site, the number of pages and components, how many stakeholders are involved in approvals, and how quickly content is provided. We set a clear timeline at the start of every project and flag risks early so nothing comes as a surprise close to launch.
Will the site be easy for us to manage?
Yes. We build with modular content systems so your team can update pages, add content, and publish new sections without needing a developer for routine tasks. We include a handover session with every project so you understand how the site is structured and what you can manage independently. For anything more complex, our support plans give you direct access to us.
Do you handle responsiveness?
Yes. Every component, layout, and page is designed and tested across mobile, tablet, and desktop. We build mobile-first as a default, which means small screen experiences are considered from the start of the design process rather than retrofitted at the end.
Do you integrate third party tools and CRMs?
Yes. We handle integrations with analytics platforms, CRMs such as HubSpot and Salesforce, email marketing tools, booking systems, payment gateways, and custom APIs. Integration work is scoped at the start of the project so the architecture supports it properly from day one rather than being bolted on later.
Can you migrate our content into the new build?
Yes. We can migrate pages, posts, media, custom content types, and structured data from your existing site into the new build. For larger sites we'll audit the current content structure first and plan the migration carefully to make sure nothing is lost or broken in the process.
Do you offer support once the site is live?
Yes. We offer ongoing hosting, maintenance, and support plans starting from $129 per month ex GST. These cover managed hosting, security monitoring, daily backups, core and plugin updates, and a monthly allocation of support tasks. For clients with more active development needs, we can also work on a retainer basis for ongoing improvements and feature additions.
What's the difference between this service and your WordPress packages?
Our website packages are fixed-scope builds for small businesses with defined requirements and a set budget. This service covers everything else: custom builds across any platform, complex integrations, bespoke functionality, non-WordPress stacks, and enterprise-level projects where the scope needs to be determined through discovery rather than predefined. If you're unsure which applies to your project, a discovery call will make it clear quickly.
Do you handle SEO and AEO as part of the build?
We include technical SEO and AEO foundations as standard. This covers page title and meta description configuration, schema markup, XML sitemap setup, canonical URL structure, and Core Web Vitals optimisation. Schema markup in particular is increasingly important for visibility in AI-generated answers from tools like Google's AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity, it's built into every project we deliver. We don't offer ongoing SEO content strategy or link building as a service, but the technical foundation we put in place supports both traditional search rankings and AI search visibility from day one.
Can you build e-commerce websites?
Yes. We build e-commerce sites on WooCommerce for WordPress projects. We've built full product catalogues, custom checkout flows, subscription models, and integrations with payment gateways and inventory systems. For projects requiring a different platform, we'll advise based on your specific requirements.
