They are valid options for some businesses. Squarespace and Wix work well if your needs are genuinely simple, you’re comfortable managing the platform yourself long-term, and you don’t need anything beyond what the template allows. A freelancer can work if you find someone experienced and have the knowledge to evaluate what they deliver. What we offer is different. Every site we build is designed from scratch, built on WordPress with clean code, and maintained after launch. You’re not getting a theme with your content dropped in, and you’re not left to manage it alone once it goes live. For businesses that need their website to perform reliably, look considered, and stay maintained over time, that ongoing relationship is what makes the difference. Our packages also include 12 months of hosting and support as standard, which freelancers and website builders rarely offer in any meaningful way.
Fixed-scope means the deliverables, page count, revision rounds, and timeline are agreed upfront before work begins. You know exactly what’s included, what’s excluded, and what it costs. There are no surprises mid-project and no scope creep. Each package defines the number of pages, design directions, and feedback rounds. Anything outside that scope can be quoted separately or handled as part of a bespoke engagement. The fixed-scope model exists to keep projects moving quickly and pricing transparent.
Yes. All packages include 12 months of managed hosting and support, and we ask that you stay on a plan after the included period. This isn’t just a commercial requirement, it’s how we ensure sites we build stay secure, up to date, and performing well after launch. A WordPress site that isn’t actively maintained becomes a security risk within months. Keeping you on a plan means we’re responsible for the long-term health of what we build, which is something we take seriously.
All packages include 12 months of our Care hosting and support plan. This covers managed cloud hosting, weekly core CMS and plugin updates, daily off-site backups, SSL management, security monitoring, automated uptime monitoring, and email-based technical support with a response time of 1 to 2 business days. After the first year, hosting and support continues at $129 per month ex GST on the same Care plan, or you can upgrade to Cover or Comprehensive if your needs change.
Yes. After the included 12-month period, hosting and support are billed monthly with no lock-in contracts. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time. If you cancel, we’ll assist with migrating your site to another hosting provider and provide all the files and access credentials you need.
Most package projects are delivered in 4 to 6 weeks from kickoff to launch. The timeline depends on which package you select, how quickly you provide content and feedback, and the number of revision rounds used. Compact projects with content ready at kickoff often move faster. The biggest variable is almost always content, having copy, images, and key information ready before we start significantly reduces the time to launch.
We design and structure your site to support effective content presentation, but written copy is typically supplied by you. If you need copywriting assistance, we offer it as an optional add-on at $200 per page ex GST. We write from a brief you provide covering your services, tone, and key messages. Copy is written to be clear, direct, and optimised for search. It’s worth adding at the time of enquiry rather than after the build has started.
Yes. Your site is built on a structured WordPress foundation that’s designed to be extended. Additional pages can be added through your monthly support task allocation on Cover or Comprehensive plans, or quoted separately depending on complexity. New sections, layout types, or functionality that falls outside what was delivered in the original package would typically be quoted as a small project or handled as bespoke work.
No. Each site is custom-designed using a defined system of approved components built specifically for your brand. The components are consistent and well-structured, which is what keeps build times short and costs predictable, but the design itself is tailored to you. You won’t find another site that looks like yours.
These packages are designed for content and marketing websites. eCommerce, membership platforms, booking systems, and complex integrations require a different scope and approach and are better suited to a bespoke engagement. If you’re unsure whether your requirements fit a package or need a custom build, a discovery call will make that clear quickly.
The packages offer a structured, fixed-scope way to access our quality at a clear price point and a faster timeline. The process is predefined, the deliverables are set, and the scope is controlled. Bespoke projects start with discovery and are scoped entirely around your specific requirements, they allow for deeper UX strategy, custom functionality, complex integrations, and open-ended design exploration. The Complete package is also designed to transition naturally into a bespoke engagement for businesses that start with a package and grow into needing more.
Yes. You’ll need to provide the written copy and images for your site. We provide clear guidance at kickoff on exactly what’s needed and in what format. If you need copywriting, we offer it as an add-on at $200 per page ex GST. For images, we can work with your existing photography or advise on stock image options that suit your brand.
Requests outside the defined scope are handled in one of two ways. Minor additions are quoted separately as small projects. Larger requirements, such as custom functionality, additional pages beyond the package limit, or integrations, are scoped as bespoke work. We’ll always tell you clearly when something falls outside scope and give you a straightforward quote before proceeding.
Yes. Every package includes technical SEO and AEO foundations as standard. This covers page title and meta description configuration, schema markup, XML sitemap setup, and Core Web Vitals optimisation. Schema markup in particular helps your site appear in AI-generated answers from tools like Google’s AI Overviews and Perplexity, in addition to traditional search rankings. We set this up correctly from day one so you’re not retrofitting it later.
